We are delighted to introduce a new member to our team. Jay Simmonds joined P&TR Review January 2016, in the role of Sales Trainee, working alongside, Editor and Sales Director Tony. Jay’s appointment is intended to continue delivering high-level sales support to our ever-growing client base, whilst enabling Tony to concentrate on developing enhanced programmes and services that we believe our leading publication should and can do to support such a dynamic industry. Of his employment Jay said: ’I am really excited to be part of the team. I feel I can contribute positively to the expansion of P&TR Review, bringing in fresh ideas and office systems. I am very much looking forward to getting out there and meeting clients, potential new clients and industry influencers throughout the country!’ Of Jay’s position, Tony said: ‘Having known Jay for many years, I know his communication skills and capabilities will make him a great asset to the team and to the workings of P&TR Review. We are delighted that he is on board and although it hasn’t been long, he is already making a great impact with current clients, with a very confident start’. Schaeffler appoints Martin Ryan as Industrial Aftermarket Director

Precision bearing manufacturer Schaeffler has announced the appointment of Martin Ryan as Industrial Aftermarket Director at Schaeffler (UK) Limited. Martin joined Schaeffler UK in 1990, working in various roles within the sales department, including Commercial Manager. In his new role as Industrial Aftermarket Director, Martin is responsible for all UK distribution and direct sales to MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) customers. Martin will report to Richard Hall, President Industrial for the UK & Ireland and Deputy Managing Director, Schaeffler (UK) Ltd. Martin has a background in bearing sales and customer services – an industry he has worked in since the age of 16. As Martin states: “I am really excited to be taking on the responsibility for Schaeffler’s industrial aftermarket business for the UK and Ireland region, where we see strong growth potential. We have an industry leading product portfolio of rolling bearings, plain bearings and linear systems, backed up with a wide range of condition monitoring and maintenance solutions. New face in The Midlands

Norgren appoints new european Chief Finance Officer

Norgren, a global market leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technology, has appointed Richard Fenton as European Chief Finance Officer (CFO). A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Richard has a wealth of commercial and finance experience in industry.  His previous employment includes finance roles at Dalgety plc then the EMEA Financial Director for the Polymer Sealing Solutions division of TI plc which was acquired by Smiths Group plc as part of their merger with TI.  He then had a key role in the sale of the business by Smiths to Trelleborg. Richard subsequently took up the role of EMEA CFO at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, part of the Danaher Corporation, before his most recent post where he spent seven years as the CFO of the Cellular Foam Division of the Vita Group (formerly British Vita plc) under TPG private equity ownership where he was involved in developing and executing strategy covering restructuring, reorganisation, ERP implementation, footprint expansion and business disposals.
