Following a highly successful launch in Germany, where the company rapidly secured thousands of orders and completed over 1,300 installations, the new system introduces an entirely redesigned architecture from the inverter to the battery. At the core of the Nexis system is a compact, three-phase inverter capable of delivering up to 20kW of power. Weighing just 30.6 kg, the unit utilizes advanced Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor technology to maximize efficiency, power density, and thermal performance. Unlike traditional systems that lose significant efficiency at low power levels, the SiC-equipped Nexis inverter operates with up to 20% higher efficiency in low-power conditions compared to leading competitors. Furthermore, SolarEdge’s MultiRange concept consolidates all power classes into a single part number, simplifying inventory management and enabling installers to complete commissioning in under 30 minutes via an integrated software interface.

Modular Storage and Enhanced Safety
The SolarEdge Nexis Battery introduces a modular, "Lego-like" Simple-Click™ design that eliminates the need for complex wiring between modules. Using 5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery blocks, homeowners can scale their storage capacity up to 20 kWh per stack, with a maximum of 80 kWh across four stacks per inverter. A built-in Battery Optimizer independently isolates, monitors, and manages each block to balance the state of charge and increase overall system efficiency. The system also incorporates ThermoShield™ safety technology, providing multi-layered protection that meets UL 9540A standards by containing potential thermal events to a single cell.
