Antaira launches ultra-thin 5-port PoE+ industrial switch

Industrial control cabinets are increasingly required to host networking, power delivery and edge devices in limited space, especially in automation retrofits and machine-build environments. Antaira Technologies has introduced a new ultra-thin unmanaged Industrial Ethernet switch for these installations, launching the FNP-0500G-T with a stated installation depth of 1.24 in (31.50 mm).

Flat-mount form factor for control panels and NEMA boxes
The FNP-0500G-T is designed to mount flat to a control panel or NEMA enclosure, addressing depth constraints where standard DIN-rail switches can be difficult to integrate. Antaira positions the device for space-constrained industrial networking, with the physical design intended to reduce cabinet footprint while keeping cable and device layout conventional.

The switch uses a 5-port configuration and is intended for straightforward drop-in integration into existing industrial network topologies.

PoE+ output sized for cameras, sensors and wireless radios
A key differentiator is integrated IEEE 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) support for powering edge devices directly from the Ethernet ports.

Antaira specifies:
  • Up to 30 W per port on four PoE+ ports
  • Total PoE power budget up to 100 W with 48 VDC input
  • Total PoE power budget up to 120 W with 56 VDC input
This budget is aligned with common industrial PoE endpoints such as IP cameras, LiDAR, industrial sensors, and wireless radios, where local power wiring can add cabinet complexity and increase installation time.

Gigabit unmanaged switching for edge connectivity
The FNP-0500G-T is an unmanaged Industrial Ethernet switch, positioned for deployments where fixed network behaviour is sufficient and managed diagnostics are not required. Antaira specifies Gigabit bandwidth, supporting higher-throughput edge devices such as machine vision sensors and multi-camera inspection setups.

In industrial settings, unmanaged switches are typically selected for distributed cabinet builds where the primary requirement is stable Layer 2 connectivity with minimal commissioning overhead.

Environmental and compliance profile for industrial cabinets
For electrical cabinet and field-adjacent environments, the switch is specified for operation across an extended temperature range of -40°C to +75°C (also listed as -40°F to +167°F).

The compliance and qualification list included in the release covers:
  • UL 60950-1, CE, and FCC
  • EMC, EMI and EMS standards
  • EN 60068-2-6, -27, -32 for vibration, shock and free fall
  • NDAA and TAA compliance
Antaira also lists a five-year warranty, positioning the device for long lifecycle use in industrial automation and edge connectivity deployments, including control systems that need compact PoE-capable switching as part of a broader digital supply chain infrastructure.
