SIGMATEK has expanded its 7-inch web HMI portfolio with the ET 0711-02, a control panel engineered for industrial environments that require both modern HTML5 visualization and high mechanical robustness.
High-performance hardware for complex visualization
The ET 0711-02 is built around SIGMATEK’s EDGE3 quad-core processor architecture, featuring four 1.6 GHz cores, 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 8 GB of microSD storage. This hardware configuration supports smooth rendering of complex visualization tasks and responsive operation, even in applications with demanding graphical requirements.
The device operates without active cooling, relying on a fanless design suited for continuous industrial use and reduced maintenance.
Touch-based operation and display characteristics
The HMI features a projected capacitive glass touchscreen that supports multi-finger gestures, enabling precise and intuitive interaction. Its 7-inch widescreen display offers a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels, providing clear and high-contrast visualization of machine states and process data.
Visualization is implemented using LASAL VISUDesigner (HTML5), which supports browser-based user interfaces and provides a library of predefined controls and operating elements. This approach allows machine builders and system integrators to develop modern, web-based HMIs that are portable across platforms and aligned with current industrial UI standards.
Connectivity and system integration
For integration into diverse automation architectures, the ET 0711-02 includes OPC UA communication alongside a broad set of interfaces. Standard connectivity comprises two Ethernet ports, two CAN interfaces, RS485, RS232, USB 2.0 Type A, and USB 2.0 Type C. This combination supports both modern Ethernet-based automation networks and legacy fieldbus or serial communication.
A multi-status LED on the front panel provides immediate visual feedback on device status, supporting diagnostics and commissioning activities.
Mechanical design and industrial suitability
The panel is designed for control cabinet installation and features an IP65-rated front, protecting against dust and water ingress. Its black aluminum frame and steel housing are intended to withstand mechanical stress, making the device suitable for harsh industrial environments where robustness is a key requirement.
By combining web-based visualization, high-performance processing, and industrial-grade construction, the ET 0711-02 addresses the needs of machine and plant builders seeking compact HMIs that integrate easily into modern automation systems while meeting durability expectations.
