ASRock Industrial has introduced AiSMA (ASRock Industrial System Management Architecture), a unified, Redfish®-based system management framework designed to enhance secure, standardized, and scalable remote management across industrial edge infrastructures.
As industrial environments transition toward software-defined and highly connected operations, centralized and secure lifecycle management of distributed system nodes has become mission-critical. AiSMA addresses this need by consolidating hardware, firmware, operating system, and software management under a secure, API-driven architecture that supports long-term lifecycle governance and cross-platform interoperability.
Standardized Management Built on Redfish®
AiSMA is built on the DMTF Redfish® standard, enabling secure and vendor-neutral system control while minimizing lock-in. The framework provides structured data models and standardized interfaces to manage heterogeneous edge devices consistently across automation and AIoT deployments.
By leveraging Redfish®, AiSMA ensures interoperability and simplifies integration into existing IT and OT management ecosystems.
Out-of-Band Remote Control via AiOOB
AiSMA supports out-of-band (OOB) remote management through the AiOOB module, allowing administrators to monitor and manage systems independently of the operating system. This enhances operational resilience by enabling:
- Real-time health monitoring
- Proactive alert notifications
- Remote recovery and maintenance
- Reduced downtime risks
Full Lifecycle and Real-Time Visibility
AiSMA delivers comprehensive lifecycle control, covering:
- Hardware and firmware management
- OS and software inventory
- BIOS configuration and updates
- Network and firewall settings
- NTP/time synchronization
Asset tagging and system configuration
Real-time monitoring provides full visibility into processors, memory, storage, BIOS, network interfaces, chassis sensors, and power/thermal conditions, enabling predictive maintenance and improved uptime.
Event logging, Redfish® event subscriptions, and BIOS firmware updates via LVFS further streamline system oversight and maintenance workflows.

Industrial-Grade Security and Compliance
Designed for industrial automation and control environments, AiSMA supports IEC 62443-4-2 cybersecurity compliance and modern security models to safeguard system integrity. The framework reinforces secure operations across edge AI platforms operating in manufacturing, automation, and mission-critical applications.
Validated on Robust Edge AIoT Platforms
AiSMA is validated on ASRock Industrial’s Robust Edge AIoT platforms, including:
- iEP-7000E Series – High-performance industrial nodes powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra processors
- iEP-5000G Series – Efficient edge controllers based on Intel Atom® processors
By combining Redfish® compliance with comprehensive lifecycle governance, AiSMA enables organizations to maintain fleet-wide consistency, strengthen compliance readiness, and manage increasingly complex industrial edge deployments with confidence.
With AiSMA, ASRock Industrial advances open, secure, and standardized system management—positioning edge computing infrastructures for scalable, long-term, and resilient operations.
