Intelligent manufacturing starts with the sensor. At SINDEX 2025, sensor expert Baumer will be show-casing how to take automation to the next level with selected Baumer product innovations. On center stage: particularly compact OT200 and OT330 time-of-flight sensors and pioneering new encoders like EB260 magnetic ring encoder. With such solutions, Baumer wants to inspire the expert audience and incite smart ideas for intelligent automation.
These are some of the product highlights premiering in the city of Bern:
Time-of-flight sensors: Baumer fully exploits the potential of ToF technology to merge high efficiency with outstanding performance. With the new OT200 sensor, Baumer has developed the most compact time-of-flight sensor which is characterized by the smallest blind zone with the longest range in a minia-ture design.
Ultrasonic sensors with NexSonic technology: NexSonic by Baumer is the measurably better ultra-sonic technology setting new standards. These sensors feature response times of merely 10 ms, the smallest blind zone (10 mm) and smart filter functions. Thanks to the configurable sonic cone (narrow, medium, wide), the sensors optimally adapt to the application.
Revolutionary encoder technology in Motion Control: The compact, bearingless EB260 encoder com-bines the precision of optical sensing with the durability and cost-efficiency of magnetic systems. Low-Harmonics signal processing with auto-calibration eliminates signal errors due to ageing and mechanical factors to ensure maximum precision and control performance. The EB260 opens up completely new possibilities in drive technology.
Compact process sensors of the 50 Series: The new 50 Series by Baumer accommodates the per-formance of the proven Combi sensor series in an even more compact housing. The space-saving sen-sors stand out by their performant measurements of pressure, temperature and conductivity and uniform operating concept with touch display. Users benefit from excellent process visualization and simple set-up.
SWIR cameras with defect pixel correction: These industrial Baumer cameras set standards in inspec-tion tasks in the infrared spectral range. They master inspection tasks which so far were impossible to solve with cameras in the visible range. The SWIR cameras with patented thermal design and sophisti-cated pixel correction ensure outstanding image quality and reliable results in image processing applica-tions.
